COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS

RETO to Hope exists to give hope to and to meet the needs of those entangled in drug and alcohol addiction. RETO began in Spain in 1985 and has since extended into thirty other countries. The word “RETO” is a Spanish word that means “CHALLENGE”.
New Hope Care refers people to Reto for entry to rehabilitation and collaborates with Reto in providing cooked breakfasts for residents of Pindari (one of the homeless shelters we service). New Hope Care also provides financial support for Reto. We also have common Board Members.

New Hope Care’s connection with Communify began with The Exchange in Kelvin Grove Urban Village in 2010. Over the years, New Hope Care has built its relationship and supported some of Communify’s services, eg donating non-perishable food to The Pantry and supporting Market Day. In December, 2017, New Hope Care partnered with Communify to provide Christmas Day Lunch for about 70 guests at The Newmarket – an initiative that was much appreciated by the local community. New Hope Care also refers guests to access Communify’s services and invites Communify’s guests to our events.

St. Jude's Anglican, Everton Park has kindly let New Hope Care hire their bus to transport our guests to and from the King's Table and other events.
FOOD & CATERING

Jacob's Bakery has kindly supplied us with bread and pastries to give out to our guests at the King's Table.
Oz Harvest redistributes surplus groceries from supermarket chains to anumber of organisations serving the homeless and needy or our City - New Hope Care is one of those organisations. Oz Harvest provides the bulk of the ingredients for our King's Table soup kitchen and our food hampers
LIFE-SKILLING

New Hope Care held its first CAP Money Course in mid 2015. This course provides basic financial literacy to help delegates learn to budget, save and spend well. Since starting the CAP Money Course, over 70 people have participated and over 40 have graduated. New Hope is also a CAP Money Partner church. This enables people struggling with unmanageable debt to access of a light debt management service provided by CAP. Christians Against Poverty has also expanded their service offerings to include Release Groups and Job Clubs, both of which we will consider running in future.

WELLS FARGO provide financial support and staff as volunteers for the King's Table soup kitchen.
We also partner with the following shelters and boarding houses to provide transport for their residents to the King's Table soup kitchen, Pindari Breakfasts and other events:
-
Pindari Men's & Women's Hostel (Salvation Army)
-
Jeays Street Community
