OUR SERVICES
CLOTHING, FOOD & EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
Since September 2009 we have been collecting and distributing non-perishable food parcels to the poor and needy. We also provide clothing and emergency assistance
Transport for the community. Pick-up and drop offs to and from the King's Table as well as other venues.
Each month we visit local hostels, providing a cooked meal as well as building community and relationships. We also hold a free community barbecue outreach at Roma St Parklands on Wednesdays fortnight
REFERRAL SUPPORT
We draw on our good working relationships with the refuges, shelters and boarding houses in our area to assist with emergency placement when people find themselves unexpectedly without shelter.
In July 2014 we opened a soup kitchen to help bring food and community to those in need. Our mission is to create a family atmosphere where we can develop compassionate relationships with the community, giving them a sanctuary in which they can relax and feel loved.
DRUG & ALCOHOL REHAB
We partner with 'Reto to Hope Australia', a program that deals with drug awareness and prevention and drug withdrawal, as well as rehabilitation and reintegration.
LIFE SKILLS COURSES & COACHING
We provide training programs including the CAP Money Course that will equip those in need to be self-sufficient. Laptops with internet connection are also provided to assist clients for job-seeking.
COUNSELLING & SUPPORT
We provide emotional, social and spiritual support, as well as information and referrals to appropriate support services and have a vision to develop a counselling service.
PARTNER WITH RECRUITMENT AGENCIES TO BRING EMPLOYMENT TO THOSE IN NEED
We link those we serve with our employment partners who assist in finding employment. We worked with Ostara Australia to find employment for Terry who had been long-term unemployed and now was employed by New Hope Care as its cook for the weekly King's Table soup kitchen.
